Suryakumar Yadav's Captaincy Record Remains Unmatched
Despite losing his place in India's T20I squad because of poor form with the bat, Suryakumar Yadav remains one of the country's most successful T20 captains. He led India in 52 T20Is, winning 42 matches and finishing with an outstanding win percentage of 80.77%.
Suryakumar guided India to the 2025 Asia Cup title before leading the team to its third T20 World Cup crown in 2026. Under his captaincy, India also remained unbeaten in 12 consecutive T20Is, highlighting the team's dominance during his tenure.
Popularly known as "Mr. 360" for his wide range of shots, Suryakumar lost both the captaincy and his place in the T20I squad after a dip in batting form. However, India's struggles under the new leadership have renewed the debate over his omission, with many fans calling for his return.
Suryakumar is one of India's finest T20 batters despite his recent dip in form. He has scored 3,272 runs in 113 T20Is at an average of 36.35 and an impressive strike rate of 162.95. The right-hander has also smashed four centuries, 25 half-centuries, and 179 sixes.
