Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Suryakumar Yadav shared an Instagram story for MS Dhoni and Shivam Dube after Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) victory over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in IPL 2025. The Indian T20I captain captured attention with a scene reference from the 2016 movie MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.

The Super Kings ended their five-match losing streak with a five-wicket victory over the Super Giants in Lucknow on Monday, April 14. CSK restricted Lucknow Super Giants to 166/7 in their 20 overs. CSK reached the target with three balls to spare as MS Dhoni and Shivam Dube added an unbeaten partnership.

Chennai Super Kings Secure Second Win of IPL 2025 Season

MS Dhoni came to bat at No. 7 with CSK needing 56 runs off 30 balls. The veteran cricketer smashed Avesh Khan for two consecutive boundaries in the 16th over. In the next over, Shivam Dube hit a four off Shardul Thakur, and Dhoni ended the over with a six.

Avesh Khan brought LSG back into the game, but Dhoni and Dube capitalized on Thakur’s poor 19th over. Dhoni scored an unbeaten 26 runs off 11 balls, including four fours and a six. He won him the Player of the Match award — his first in six years in the IPL. Dube was CSK’s top scorer, with 43 off 37 balls.

Earlier, CSK’s bowlers, Anshul Kamboj (1/20), Ravindra Jadeja (2/24), and Noor Ahmed (0/13), restricted LSG to a modest 166/7 in their 20 overs.
