The India National Cricket Team's support staff is all set to see major changes, but fielding coach T. Dilip is expected to keep his place despite recent criticism over the team’s poor fielding performances. There have been reports that T Dilip would not get an extension to his BCCI contract.

While T Dilip is likely to continue in his role, assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate is expected to part ways with the India National Cricket Team after the ongoing ODI series against England. If he doesn’t change his mind, the third ODI at Lord's on July 19 could be his final assignment with Team India. T Dilip set to continue as India's fielding coach

As reported by Cricbuzz, T Dilip will remain with the India national cricket team despite speculation about his future. The fielding coach, who joined the national setup during Rahul Dravid's tenure, continues to enjoy the confidence of the team management.

T Dilip is most likely to get an extension to his BCCI contract, as Gautam Gambhir and the think tank are not willing to part ways with the fielding coach at this stage, as the Men in Blue are set to travel to Zimbabwe in August next month. T Dilip’s current contract is set to end with the England tour.

Ryan ten Doeschate likely to leave Team India

On the other hand, Ryan ten Doeschate has reportedly informed the BCCI that he wants to leave his role. The Cricbuzz report stated that the former Netherlands star has requested the board to release him from his duties after completing his current two-year contract.

The report added that his decision has nothing to do with unhappiness over the job, but it is his personal choice, and if his request is accepted, his exit is expected to happen on friendly terms.

Ten Doeschate joined India's coaching staff two years ago after being recommended by head coach Gautam Gambhir. The former Netherlands all-rounder’s initial contract will end this month, but there is a clause for an extension if he seeks it.

He reportedly wants to spend more time with his family in London. With his wife working and their three young sons needing more attention, he is looking for a coaching role that requires less travel than the demanding India schedule. Is Ryan ten Doeschate not happy with his BCCI role?

Another reason behind his reported decision is believed to be his role within the Indian coaching setup. Although fielding has been one of his strongest areas, that department is already handled by T. Dilip, leaving Ten Doeschate with a less clearly defined responsibility in the support staff.

Despite this, Ten Doeschate is understood to share an excellent relationship with Gautam Gambhir, who has publicly praised him on several occasions. Gambhir was also the person who pushed for his appointment after becoming India's head coach.

However, the report also suggested that the final decision has not yet been taken. Gambhir values Ten Doeschate's contribution to the team, and there is still a possibility that the head coach could convince him to stay, especially at a time when India is trying to recover from a T20I downfall.
