Hardik Pandya hasn’t been in the best of forms recently and it could have a major impact on the balance of the Indian team in the upcoming T20 Worldcup 2021 in UAE. He hasn’t been bowling to his fullest strengths yet and it is going to be a big worry for the Indian management as they haven’t got many players like Hardik Pandya.

Pandya managed to hit just 9 runs and a duck in the two innings he played in the ODI series against Sri Lanka and a lot more was expected out of him as a senior player in the team. India will need to look for options and here are 3 players who can replace Hardik Pandya in the Indian team.

3 Players Who Can Replace Hardik Pandya In The Indian Team:

Shardul Thakur:

Shardul Thakur has already shown the Indian management that he is no mug with the bat and he played one of the best knocks by a lower order batter in the test series in Australia. The Mumbai pacer is a regular wicket-taker and has got all the variations in his kitty to outclass the batsman.

Thakur may not provide the same impact that Hardik can provide in the Indian middle order, however, he is a powerful striker of the cricket ball, and India cannot afford to pick a playing XI without bowling all-rounders. He did very well in the England limited-overs series and India will need his services if Hardik Pandya isn’t recovering from his poor form.

Deepak Chahar:

Deepak Chahar played one of the most memorable innings of his career with the bat in the second ODI against Sri Lanka with 69 off 82 deliveries and took India to victory from the verge of defeats. The Indian medium-pacer was highly impressive in the series against Sri Lanka and looks to have booked a spot in the T20 World cup already.

Chahar can swing the ball really well and he will add as a backup option to someone like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and also, he is more capable with the bat at seven. He could be looked at as a potential number seven option in the lower middle order in the future and it could be an added advantage too.

Harshal Patel:

Harshal Patel is another all-rounder that might get the look in as one of the options for Hardik Pandya. The Haryana seamer picked up 17 wickets in 6 games for RCB this season and he does have a lot of variations too which could be very handy in the back end of the innings.

Harshal is an excellent finisher with the bat as well and he is an excellent timer of the cricket ball. He can hit those long sixes and could be a handy option down the order. He has opened in the domestic tournaments for Haryana and he is a possible candidate for the all-rounder spot in the team in place of Hardik Pandya for the T20 World cup 2021.
