T20 World Cup 2021: Players Get Recognition By Doing Well In India-Pakistan Games – Kapil Dev

The World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev believes that players who do well in the high-profile India-Pakistan battle manage to get global recognition.

Meanwhile, India National Cricket Team is placed in the Group 2 of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 alongside the Pakistan National Cricket Team, Afghanistan National Cricket Team and New Zealand National Cricket Team.

Virat Kohli and co. will start their T20 World Cup 2021 Super12s campaign with a battle against arch-rivals Pakistan National Cricket Team on October 24 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

India has been invincible against arch-rivals Pakistan in the T20 World Cup games. In the 5 matches between the teams, Pakistan has never defeated India. India’s dominance is not only limited to the T20 World Cup as India has also managed to emerge victorious against Pakistan in all 50-over World Cup games as well.

If A Youngster Comes Out And Performs Well, Then He Gets Global Recognition – Kapil Dev

Former Indian all-rounder, while speaking on ABP news about the battle between the arch-rivals India and Pakistan, said that a youngster who performs well in the high-profile clash gets praised and receive recognition. However, if a senior player fails to perform on the big stage, his reputation can get damaged.

“Players get recognition by doing well in IND-PAK matches. If a youngster comes out and performs well, then he gets global recognition. Whereas, if a senior player does not do well, then it can hurt his reputation,” Kapil Dev stated.

Further talking about the success mantra in the high-voltage matches, Kapil Dev opined that a team that takes ” too much pressure” fails to perform well, and the team that enjoys themselves on the field can become successful. Kapil Dev asserted:

“It all depends on pressure and pleasure. If you are enjoying the game or are under pressure. If you take too much pressure, then you will not get the desired performances. The chances of winning the game increases for the team who believes in having fun while playing.”
