Former England captain Michael Vaughan has always found a way to make headlines with his statements, and most of the time, the commentator gets brutally trolled by the fans on the internet.

After making headlines by predicting the semi-finalists of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, Vaughan didn’t stop there and yet again made an interesting remark by picking the dangerous batting teams going into the upcoming showpiece event.

As the participating team started announcing their primary squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, the former England captain predicted Australia, South Africa, the West Indies, and England as his semi-finalists for the multi-nation tournament, which created a lot of buzz on social media.

Now, Vaughan has unveiled his most powerful batting units at the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 and opined that whoever team manages to score 225+, will have strong chances in the tournament.

The commentator picked the West Indies, Australia, South Africa, England, New Zealand, India, and Pakistan as the most powerful batting units going into the ICC event.

The Englishman further opined that if the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 will see a partial score of 175, then all teams have a chance, but if the tournament sees a score of 225 like the ongoing IPL 2024, then only one of the top four power-hitting teams will win the trophy.

Michael Vaughan wrote on the microblogging site X: “Most powerful batting units are … West Indies - Australia - South Africa - England - NZ - India - Pakistan …in that order .. If it’s a WC where 175 is par all teams have a chance.…if like the IPL its 225 only 1 of the Top 4 power hitting teams will win IMO .. #ICCT20WorldCup”

Vaughan’s tweet caught the attention of former Australian cricketer Mark Waugh, who has yet again suggested the national selectors pick Jake Fraser-McGurk for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. Replying to Vaughan’s post, Waugh wrote on X: “Australia would have been even more powerful with Jake Fraser-McGurk in the line-up.”
