Only a few hours to go before the 10th edition of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. This year, the tournament will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka and will commence on February 7.
A day before the inauguration of the 2026 T20 World Cup, the International Cricket Council (ICC) unveiled the full panel of commentators. The panel of commentators comprises star voices, former cricketers, and active cricketers. A total of 40 commentators will be deployed for the flagship tournament.
Among the renowned commentators, Ravi Shastri, Nasser Hussain, Ian Smith, and Ian Bishop will be there to lead the panel with their iconic voices. Some former T20 World Cup winners like Aaron Finch, Dinesh Karthik, Kumar Sangakkara, Samuel Badree, Robin Uthappa, and Carlos Brathwaite will feature in the commentary box during the 55-match tournament.

Temba Bavuma, an active cricketer, under whose leadership South Africa won the previous edition of the World Test Championship, defeating Australia in the final, will also present during the T20 World Cup as a commentator.

“Current player and reigning ICC World Test Championship-winning captain Temba Bavuma will be heard on commentary, while 2014 T20 World Cup winner Angelo Mathews is also included in an impressive list of commentators that will be utilized across the 55 matches at the tournament,” the ICC informed in their official press release.
Apart from the matches, there will be a pre-match show, an innings interval program, a post-match wrap-up, and daily highlights to keep the viewers in touch with the tournament.
“ICC.TV’s broadcast will feature a pre-match show, innings interval program, post-match wrap-up, and daily highlights shows that will capture all the excitement across the tournament all the way through to the knockout stages and final on March 8,” ICC further informed on February 6.

The tournament is all set to start from tomorrow. There will be a total of 3 matches on the opening day of the tournament. The opening match of the contest will be between Pakistan and the Netherlands, followed by the West Indies vs Scotland match, and then, in the evening, it will be the defending champion India who will take on the USA.
