Tabraiz Shamsi goes unsold at IPL Auction 2025

Tabraiz Shamsi has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 2 crore. The South Africa spinner last played in the IPL in 2021.
Even though Tabraiz has done well in T20Is and has also played regularly in other T20 leagues around the world, he has struggled to get a regular chance in the IPL. The left-arm spinner's journey in the IPL began with Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2016.
In his first season, he played 4 games and picked up 3 wickets. Shamsi did not play a game in the IPL till 2020 before finally returning to the competition in 2021. In IPL 2021, he played just one game for Rajasthan Royals.
Tabraiz will be hoping to get an IPL contract this year and will be looking to make an impact. Apart from the IPL, he has played in the Caribbean Premier League, Lanka Premier League, Pakistan Super League, SA20, and the Hundred. Overall, Shamsi has played 281 T20s and picked up 319 wickets.
