Tamil Nadu Cricket Association announced its squad for the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2026-27 season, with the experienced spinner Sai Kishore as their captain. The first match of their upcoming Ranji Trophy season will be against Rajasthan.
Against Rajasthan, Kishore will lead the side with his deputy, Andre Siddart, who is one of the highly talented young batters in the state. The announcement of the squad and the leadership role was made on the evening of September 21.

Sai Kishore has been named as the captain of the state cricket team after his successful County Championship with the England cricket team, Gloucestershire. For Gloucestershire, the Indian spinner took 19 wickets in 5 matches only. Against a Derbyshire match in Bristol, Kishore clinched 5 wickets in the second innings to go with his 2-wicket first innings spell.
The Tamil Nadu cricket governing body tried to make a well-balanced side by putting a bunch of young players with multiple seasoned campaigners.
Baba Indrajith, Narayan Jagadeesan, and Pradosh Ranjan Paul will have to take extra responsibility to carry on the side and to help the skipper Sai Kishore in the upcoming season of the Ranji Trophy. Alongside the main sqaud, the state revealed the names of the emerging talents who are keep as the stand bys as they are currenly under a developmet process.
