Taskin Ahmed produced one of the most memorable celebrations of recent Test cricket after dismissing Cameron Green just before lunch on Day 1 of the first Test in Darwin on Thursday, August 13. After Mushfiqur Rahim took a brilliant catch at mid-wicket, Taskin celebrated the wicket with his tongue out.
Bangladesh had a dominant morning session on the opening day at the Marrara Cricket Ground. Australia captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bat first on a grassy pitch, but Bangladesh’s pace attack troubled the hosts throughout the session. Australia slipped to 74/4 at lunch in the series opener.

Taskin dismissed Cameron Green on the final ball before lunch on Day 1. Green tried to flick a full delivery into the leg side but lost his bottom hand and chipped the ball towards mid-wicket.
Mushfiqur Rahim moved quickly to his right and completed an excellent catch. Taskin broke into a lively dance with his tongue out. His reaction drew plenty of attention as Bangladesh ended the session on a high.

Cameron Green made 13 off 13 balls, including a six, before Taskin Ahmed found the breakthrough. The dismissal left Australia at 74/4 at lunch at the Marrara Cricket Ground, with Bangladesh's pace attack in control of the opening session.
Hasan Mahmud, Ebadot Hossain Join Taskin Ahmed in Top-Order Rout
Bangladesh started with Taskin Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud sharing the new ball. Both bowlers maintained tight lines on the green-tinged Darwin surface and made life difficult for Australia's openers, Travis Head and Jake Weatherald.
Hasan Mahmud made the first breakthrough in the 12th over. Jake Weatherald, who had made 23 from 37 balls, chased a wide delivery outside off stump and edged it behind to Litton Das.
Hasan Mahmud struck again in his next over to remove Travis Head for 22. The Australian opener chopped a delivery back onto his stumps as Australia slipped to 52/2. The two quick wickets changed the mood of the morning.
Ebadot Hossain then added to Australia's problems by dismissing Marnus Labuschagne for just one. Labuschagne poked at a delivery outside off stump and edged it to Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto at second slip, leaving Australia 61/3.
Steve Smith Survives Two Chances as Bangladesh Dominate Morning Session
Steve Smith had two close escapes during his short stay at the crease. He was on two when he edged Ebadot Hossain towards third slip, but Tanzid Hasan could not hold the chance.
Smith survived again in the following over when he edged a delivery from Taskin Ahmed. The ball flew through an empty third-slip region, giving the Australian batter another reprieve.
Bangladesh continued to bowl with discipline after the missed chances and removed Cameron Green just before lunch. Steve Smith remained unbeaten on seven at the break, with Alex Carey due to join him after the interval.
Bangladesh reduced Australia to 74/4 after the first session of the Test, making an impressive start in their first Test series in Australia since 2003. Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud and Ebadot Hossain used the helpful conditions well and put the hosts under early pressure.
