Team Services set world record for highest fourth-innings total without losing a wicket

The Services Cricket Team scripted their name in the record books after their staggering effort with bat in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25. They achieved the second-highest successful chase in the history of the Ranji Trophy tournament on Sunday (2nd February).

The Services achieved the feat during the game against Odisha in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25. The match between the two teams took place at the DRIEMS Cricket Academy in Cuttack, and the team made sure that they ended the league stage on high with a gigantic effort.

The unbeaten 376-run partnership between Shubham Rohilla and Suraj Vashisht also marked the highest First-class fourth-innings team score without losing a wicket. They are now second in the highest successful run chase list with Railways being at the top.

During the last league game of the last edition of the Ranji Trophy, Railways chased the 378 against Tripura at the MBB Stadium in Agartala. It still remains at the top, but with the kind of performances this season has witnessed, it won't be a surprise if the record gets broken.

The win in the game against Odisha gave a bonus point to them and they finished the league stage fourth ahead of Odisha (17 points) in Elite Group A with 23 points. J&K (32 points) and Mumbai (29 points) secured the knockout spots from the group, with the quarter-finals slated to begin on February 8.
