The pitch was not a batter's paradise
Ahead of the match, the experts predicted that the spinner could get assistance from the deck, as there were cracks and very little grass on top. Additionally, it is a black soil pitch, so pacers were also expected to do well in the match.
“Finchy, you reckon this might have a little more for the bowlers and spinners, especially because of the abrasiveness? Spinners especially.
