Yuvraj Singh has produced many magnificent and breathtaking knocks for India in his illustrious career that spanned for nearly two decades. The southpaw made 11,788 runs from 402 international matches across all formats and also picked 148 wickets.

Yuvraj played a phenomenal role in helping India win the 2007 (T20) and 2011 World Cup. He was the man of the series in the latter tournament.

Yuvraj went berserk against Stuart Broad with six sixes in 2007 T20 WC:

The fans of the Indian cricket team and Yuvraj, in particular, can never forget the fond memories of the 2007 T20 World Cup when the southpaw pummelled England pace bowler Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over in Durban.

Yuvraj said that he was relieved from the pressure as England all-rounder Dimitri Mascarenhas had smashed him for five sixes in an over in an ODI match.

“The good thing was that the monkey was off my back because two weeks before that match, I got hit for five sixes in an ODI match vs England. I had bowled the 50th over.

“Getting hit for five sixes and then hitting sixes was a big relief doing against the same country (England). The monkey was off my back, and it is obviously one of the greatest memories,” Yuvraj told TimesofIndia.com in July.

“I realised the importance of that memory over the years because every time September 19 comes, people start celebrating that moment. It is one of the historic moments of my career, and I will always cherish that,” he added.

India have a very good chance of winning the T20 World Cup

The Indian team led by Virat Kohli are grouped with Pakistan, Afghanistan, New Zealand, Scotland and one more team in the T20 World Cup Super 12 stage.

Yuvraj, who has played six T20 World Cups for India, said the current team has a very good chance of winning the title and also mentioned that spinners will play a huge role.

“I feel we (India) have a very good chance. The UAE wickets can get slow in the second half. So, spinners come in very handy. So, we have a really good, balanced side,” Yuvraj said.

Yuvraj played his international match against West Indies in 2017 in the ODI series just after the ICC Champions trophy.
