Indian skipper Rohit Sharma expressed gratitude to the supporters who gathered at Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium on Thursday to celebrate the grand T20 World Cup victory parade. Rohit Sharma shared pictures from the celebrations during the open bus parade on his official social media handles on Friday.

After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, the Indian cricket team traveled to Mumbai for a celebratory open-bus parade. Thousands of passionate fans surrounded the bus to cheer on the Men in Blue. The Team India contingent celebrated the T20 World Cup in front of their passionate cricket supporters.

The team arrived at Wankhede Stadium amidst enthusiastic cheers and applause from fans. They were honored with a prize money of Rs 125 crore by the Board of Control for Cricket in India officials. The Indian players shared their feelings about the World Cup campaign in front of a packed crowd at the stadium.

Team 45 Ro, Rohit Sharma's official media team, posted a picture on Instagram showing the 37-year-old batter standing at his house door with the caption "home sweet home." The floor was adorned with flower petals as a welcoming gesture for the World Cup-winning skipper's return home.

Rohit Sharma took to his personal X (formerly known as Twitter) account to dedicate his team's World Cup win to the entire nation with a message saying, "this is for YOU." The Indian skipper also shared pictures from the celebration on his account.

India ended a 13-year drought of ICC World Cup trophies under Rohit Sharma. The Men in Blue secured a seven-wicket victory in Barbados on June 29. Virat Kohli was named 'Player of the Match,' while Jasprit Bumrah was awarded the 'Player of the Tournament' for his outstanding performance throughout the series.
