Indian skipper Virat Kohli has congratulated the Indian cricket team after they registered a scintillating win over Australia in the Border-Gavaskar trophy. Notably, the Indian cricket team had lost the first Test of the series in Adelaide as they registered their lowest-ever total and were bowled out for 36 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli had returned back to India as he was granted paternal leave by the BCCI. His wife, Anushka Sharma gave birth to their daughter on January 11. However, even after being bruised, the Indian cricket team kept fighting hard and eventually, they regained the Border-Gavaskar trophy on Tuesday.

The Indian cricket team registered one of the greatest displays of batting on the final day of the Brisbane Test. First up, Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara scored magnificent half-centuries to put India in a strong position. Then, Rishabh Pant put the cherry on the cake to seal off a historic win over Australia.

Team India Registers Historic Win Over Australia

The win over Australia is none short than a historic feat. Australia were beaten for the first time in 32 years at the Gabba. The Australian Cricket Team had been unbeaten in the last 32 games at the Gabba and the Indian cricket team broke this record too. This was India’s third-highest successful run chase in Test cricket.
