Tom Latham insults Rohit Sharma and team India openly after winning the series in Pune

New Zealand captain Tom Latham recently revealed the reason behind securing the first-ever Test series on Indian soil. Tom Latham attributed the team's historic Test series victory in India to their aggressive approach from the start and also added that they were on the right side of a couple of tosses.
The Black Caps secured a 113-run victory in the second Test at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Saturday, October 26. They took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ongoing three-match series. It is worth mentioning that it was New Zealand's first-ever Test series victory on Indian soil.

Speaking after the match, Tom Latham said that they dominated India with their aggressive playing style. Latham said that their bowlers performed well over the last few days, adding that it was very pleasing to see.
“We’ve played a style where we’ve fired a shot at India and we’ve been on the right side of a couple of tosses as well, that has been really important. The bowlers went to work over the last couple of days which has been very pleasing to see,” Latham told the media after New Zealand’s win in the second Test on Saturday.
Been On The Right Side Of A Couple Of Tosses - Tom Latham
Latham highlighted how crucial winning the toss was for their success in the series, adding that it influenced the outcome. He added that winning the toss in the second Test was his first since arriving in India.
“We’ve been on the right side of a couple of tosses. I think that (in the second Test) was the first toss that I’ve won or been part of, since being here so that played a big part, especially in Bangalore,” Latham further stated.
New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat first. They scored 259 runs and bowled India out for just 156 in the first innings, taking a 103-run lead. They scored 255 runs in their second innings before restricting India to 245 runs. Mitchell Santner took 13 wickets across two innings of the second Test match.

Tom Latham said that they had confidence in Mitchell Santner's ability and added that he made them proud of his contributions during the recent matches. Latham said that Santner has been with the Chennai Super Kings for a long time.
“Mitch has been at Chennai (Super Kings) for a long time, (he is) someone who been in our group for a long time, has played a reasonable amount of Test cricket and we know how good he is,” Latham said.
“We know what he can produce and for him to come here and bowl the way that he’s bowled over the last couple of days, the group is really proud of him,” he added.
