Star Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) medium pacer Harshal Patel who recently got his India call-up said that it took him a while to get a call-up but he is grateful for all the experiences on the way.

Harshal Patel who had an exceptional Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 was named in India’s T20I squad for the three-match series against New Zealand at home. The first T20I of the series began on 17 November in Jaipur, the second T20I will be played at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi on November 19, and the third T20I will be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on November 21.

Meanwhile, Harshal Patel bagged 32 wickets in just 15 IPL 2021 games at an average of 14.34 economy of 8.14 and strike rate of 10.56. His best bowling figures were 5/27 and he also picked an outstanding hat-trick against Mumbai Indians (MI). Harshal Patel won the Gamechanger of the season, Most Valuable Player of the season and Purple Cap award during his sensational run.

Talking about his India T20I call-up Harshal posted a picture with a caption on his official Instagram handle in which he said that, it’s not his final destination but is definitely a rewarding milestone.

Not the final destination but certainly an extremely rewarding milestone. Took me a while to get here and I am grateful for every experience on the way. The journey will continue and with it, all the ups and downs,” Harshal wrote in an Instagram post.

The Right-arm medium pacer further added that he is “forever indebted” to his friends and family who helped him reach where he is currently.
