On Wednesday (21st April) night, the Caribbean off-spinner Sunil Narine surpassed Sri Lankan right-arm pacer Lasith Malinga in the list of most T20 wickets and became the second most wicket-taker in T20 cricket history.
It was the match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai) which was the 15th match of the IPL 2021. It was the first match for KKR cricketer Sunil Narine in this IPL season.
After KKR sent CSK to bat first, CSK scored 220/3 (20 overs), majorly thanks to openers Faf du Plessis (95 not out) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (64). Sunil Narine had bowling figures of 4-0-34-1 in that innings.
During his last over of this game, Narine dismissed Moeen Ali (25 off 12 balls) who was stumped out.
