In a video shared by ICC on Instagram, Travis Head picked the 2023 ODI World Cup victory as the best moment of his career. He emphasized how much the achievement meant to both him and the team.
"It'd be number one. There are a few nice moments I've been involved in, but yeah, on history, over the one-day World Cup, what it's meant for Australia, what Australia's been able to achieve in those World Cups—be number one by a mile," Travis Head said.

It's Probably One of the Loudest Stadiums - Travis Head
Travis Head recalled the intense atmosphere when David Warner and Steve Smith were dismissed early. He added that India had dominated the tournament, which made Australia’s victory even more special. Head said that his partnership with Marnus Labuschagne shifted the momentum in Australia's favor.
"It's always nice when it pops up. It's a nice memory. What I remember from it is just being a crazy 24 hours. Yeah, it's probably one of the loudest stadiums I've heard when Davey (Warner) got out and then Steve (Smith). I guess they played so well in the tournament, it sort of felt like it was their tournament to win," Head added.
"And then to build a partnership with Marnus (Labuschagne) and sort of feel the flow of that... I've said it a few times, it felt like we fielded for six hours and batted for about 20 minutes. So yeah, pretty crazy once the momentum changed, and we got in a good position that the dynamic of the game changed, and it was quite surreal to be out there."
Australia Set to Face India in First Semi-Final of Champions Trophy
India will lock horns with Australia in the first semi-final of the 2025 Champions Trophy on Tuesday, March 4, at the Dubai International Stadium.
India have been dominant in their Champions Trophy campaign. They secured comfortable victories over Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand. The two-time champions have performed consistently well, with several players in top form. They are strong contenders to win the marquee tournament.
Head will be the biggest threat for India, given his match-winning performance in the 2023 World Cup final. He looked in good touch against Afghanistan despite two of Australia’s matches being washed out. To counter Head, Rohit Sharma might consider bringing in Varun Chakravarthy early in the powerplay.
