England batter Ollie Pope hit an amazing century in India vs England 1st Test in Hyderabad. Fans inside the Hyderabad Stadium and on Twitter hailed Ollie Pope for his outstanding knock.

India vs England 1st Test takes place at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. While England struggled to score runs in 1st innings, they came up with a better show in 2nd innings. With Ollie Pope’s century, England crossed 250+ runs on the board with 5 wickets in hand.

Ollie Pope became the only batter after Ben Stokes to smash a wonderful knock in the match. Ben Stokes stormed a crucial 70-run knock in 1st innings. Pope shattered a century in 2nd innings off 154 balls.

Fans Hail Ollie Pope For His Century On X

As the one-down batter reached his century, English fans inside the stadium celebrated for him. Fans also hailed Ollie Pope on Twitter for his stunning batting show against India.

Notably, Ollie Pope shattered his 5th ton in Test cricket. Till Day 3, he is the only batter from both teams to score a century in the match. Meanwhile, England trailed by 190 runs in 2nd innings. However, they managed to score 250 runs on the board with the help of Pope.

They made a wonderful comeback after losing 4 wickets for 140.  Zak Crawley (31) and Ben Duckett (47) also added notable contributions. Joe Root and Ben Stokes got out easily for 2 and 6 runs respectively. Jasprit Bumrah picked two crucial wickets of Ben Duckett and Joe Root.

Earlier, England piled up 246-10 in 1st innings while India replied with 436 all-out. Joe Root grabbed 4 wickets for England while Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja got 3 wickets each for India. For India, Yashasvi Jaiswal (80), KL Rahul (86), and Ravindra Jadeja (87) played wonderful knocks in 1st innings.
