On Saturday, April 12, the Abhishek Sharma-starrer Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pulled off a historic run-chase in the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) on Saturday, April 12.

The match between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings was hosted by the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad.

Sunrisers Hyderabad chase down 246 runs

The pitch on the offer for the match between PBKS and SRH was a flat one, and batting first, the Shreyas Iyer-led team made the most of it and posted a gigantic total of 245/6 on the board.

Shreyas Iyer led from the front as he smashed 82 runs while Priyansh Arya, Prabhsimran Singh, and Marcus Stoinis made sensational contributions that helped Punjab Kings register a colossal total.

Chasing the target, Sunrisers Hyderabad's opening duo of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma finally returned to form, and they turned out to be a nightmare for the PBKS bowling unit.

Both the openers played an attacking brand of cricket and demolished the PBKS bowling attack. Head got out after playing a knock of 66 runs, but Abhishek Sharma reached the triple-figure mark in 40 balls.

Abhishek Sharma finished his innings with a score of 141 off 55 balls before Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan finished off the match in 18.3 overs.
