Umesh Yadav goes unsold at IPL Auction 2025

Umesh Yadav has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 2 crore. The veteran India pacer played for Gujarat Titans in the last edition of the IPL.
Yadav's IPL journey began in 2009 with Delhi Capitals. He stayed with Delhi Capitals till 2013 and managed to make a good impression with his pace bowling. The impressive displays also paved the way for his debut in international cricket.
In IPL 2014, he was a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders team. Umesh picked up 11 wickets in 12 games and helped the Knight Riders win the IPL for the second time. The right-arm pacer played for the Knight Riders till 2017 before being signed up by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a 2018 mega auction.
He represented the Bengaluru-based outfit for three seasons before being signed up by the Knight Riders once again in 2022. Yadav played two seasons for the Kolkata-based franchise before moving to Gujarat Titans for IPL 2024.
His best season in the IPL to date came in 2018 when he picked up 20 wickets in 14 games while playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Overall, Umesh has played 148 games in the IPL and has taken 144 wickets.
