Australia, with a lead of 2-0, walked into the Ninja Stadium in Hobart as the winner of the bilateral tournament. Apparently, on paper, the match was more than a dead rubber. But, it is the iconic Aussie batter, who marks the moment historic for Australian cricket, as well as the Women's cricket in the world.

Watch: Mitchell Starc’s Reaction to Alyssa Healy's Farewell Century

The wicketkeeper-batter secured her final white-ball ton off 79 deliveries, which included 18 fours. It was the eighth ODI hundred and third against India for the 35-year-old. As soon as she touched the hundred-run milestone, the batter shifted the gears.

Before dismissing Sneh Rana, Healy secured a 150 as well. Against 98 deliveries, she scored 158 runs, her second-highest in the format. The 158-run knock was decorated with a whopping number of twenty-seven 4s and a couple of 6s. Only through the boundaries, she scored 120 out of her total score today.

Though, the iconic knock concluded bizarrely. A high full toss from Sneh Rana, which was in the middle of the stumps, did the job. The umpire had to check the height of the ball, but it was all right, and Alyssa Healy headed back to the pavilion. Healy shuffled across the crease to execute a reverse shot, which he somehow was not able to play and ended in a bowled out.

Alyssa Healy's Illustrated ODI Career

From 2010 to 2026, Healy participated in 126 Women's ODI matches to score 3777 runs for a batting average of 37.02, powered by 8 centuries. Her individual highest, 170, came against the England Women's cricket team in Christchurch on April 3, 2022.

On the verge of the last phase of the ODI career, the batter slammed back-to-back hundreds, last year in Visakhapatnam against India Women's and Bangladesh Women's. In the ongoing 3-match ODI series, the legendary cricketer smashed a half-century as well.

With Alyssa Healy's 158 and Beth Mooney's unbeaten 106-run knocks, Australia Women's climbed on the run-mountain, scoring 409 for 7 wickets in 50 overs. Georgia Voll also came handy with 62 off 52.

To win the match, India women will have to score 410 runs in their 50-over limit, which is a very stiff challenge. With the ball, Rana and Nallapureddy Charani claimed a brace each for India.
