Cricket is the most popular sport in India, with reports indicating that 9 out of every 10 Indians watch cricket! So, it makes sense that Indians enjoy cricket matches all year round as this is a highly evolved sport in the country. If you’re curious about the upcoming cricket matches of India, please keep reading for more insights on this.

Twenty20 International (T20I) Matches

These matches, which have a maximum of 20 overs, occur between member teams. India has had a permanent T20I status since 2006, with both its men’s and women’s sides representing the country quite well. On the men’s side, India ranks first, with 30 matches and 8,093 points to its name – and on the women’s side, India comes in at fourth place, with 24 games and 6,295 points to date.

Men’s Cricket Team

The men’s side will be defending its status in the next upcoming cricket matches against South Africa that will take place in June:

  • The 1st T20I will take place in Delhi on 9th June 2022

The women’s team is up for a good year as it will participate in the women’s cricket tournament at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England. Interestingly, this tournament will follow a T20 format, and only a women’s tournament will take place. So, who will India play against?
