The Pakistan national cricket team defeated the England national cricket team in the second Test of the ongoing three-match series at home.
Pakistan has moved up in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 table after securing a 152-run victory at the Multan Cricket Stadium on October 18.
Sajid Khan Named Player Of The Match For His Bowling Performance
The spin duo of Noman Ali and Sajid Khan played a crucial role in helping Pakistan secure their first win on home soil after three years and eight months. Before this match, Pakistan failed to secure victory in their last 11 Test matches at home, with their last win against South Africa in February 2021.
Kamran Ghulam scored 118 runs off 224 balls during his debut match. Sajid Khan took seven wickets and helped Pakistan take a 75-run first innings lead. England was bowled out for 144 runs in their second innings. Noman Ali finished with eight wickets for 46 runs in the second innings of the Test match.

Pakistan has played nine Tests, securing three wins and suffering six losses. They lost eight points for slow overrate in the current WTC cycle. Their points percentage improved from 16.67 to 25.92. Meanwhile, England's PCT dropped from 45.59 to 43.06 after their loss, but they remained in fourth place.
Team India leads the World Test Championship standings with a Points Percentage (PCT) of 74.24. The Rohit Sharma-led team has won eight Tests out of 11 in the ongoing WTC cycle. Defending champions Australia and Sri Lanka are in next place with Points Percentages of 62.50 and 55.56 respectively.

The Rohit Sharma-led India cricket team is currently taking on New Zealand in the first Test of the upcoming three-match series at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. New Zealand is currently in a superior position in the match. The outcome of the game will change the World Test Championship table.
