DC vs KKR: The 28th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 took place between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The David Warner-led side finally ended their losing streak as they clinched the low-scoring thriller and thumped the visitors by 4 wickets to manage their first win of the season.

The game went down to the last over but Axar Patel (19*) held his nerves and finished the game to help DC win their first game of the season by 4 wickets.

Notably, in the afternoon game, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) thumped Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 24 runs to mark their third win of the season.

IPL 2023 Updated Points Table

After the end of the 28th game of the IPL 2023, there wasn’t a major change in the points table. Rajasthan Royals remained at the top of the table whereas Royal Challengers Bangalore after a win over Punjab Kings jumped to the 5th spot. PBKS and KKR were dropped to the 7th and 8th spots after their losses whereas there was no change in the upper half of the table. DC despite their win stayed at the last but managed 2 points.

Faf du Plessis after his staggering knock in the game against Punjab Kings retained his orange cap. But there were no major changes in the table after that. Virat Kohli with his 59-run knock against PBKS jumped to the No.2 spot pushing, Jos Buttler, Venkatesh Iyer, and Shikhar Dhawan one step down. But DC skipper David Warner after his staggering knock against KKR leapfrogged Virat to bag the No.2 spot.

IPL 2023 Purple Cap

RCB pacer Mohammed Siraj after his resounding four-wicket haul displaced Mark Wood as the leading wicket-taker in the league. The pacer now has 12 wickets whereas Mark Wood, Yuzvendra Chahal, Rashid Khan, and Mohammad Shami dropped a spot each.
