Vaibhav Sooryavanshi charged toward the non-striker’s end batter and screamed aggressively. The two players came dangerously close, exchanging intense glares and words in the middle of the pitch, with the situation threatening to turn physical.

Before matters could escalate further, Vihaan Malhotra rushed in and physically restrained Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. His quick intervention allowed the Pakistan batter to walk off without any further trouble, although the heated exchange between Sooryavanshi and Huzaifa soon went viral.

India Bolwed Out For 252 Runs in First Innings

After being asked to bat first, India lost early wickets despite scoring quickly at the top. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi played an attacking knock of 30 off 22 balls before Mohammad Sayyam dismissed him. Captain Ayush Mhatre fell for a golden duck, while Abdul Subhan removed Aaron George.

India then slipped from 47 without loss to 47 for 3. Vihaan Malhotra and Vedant Trivedi rescued the innings with a 62-run partnership for the fourth wicket, providing much-needed stability.

India regained momentum in the final overs through Kanishk and Khilan Patel. Kanishk scored 35 off 29 balls and added a crucial 50-run stand for the eighth wicket. Khilan contributed 21 from 15 deliveries as India posted 252 before being bowled out in 49.5 overs.

India’s Spinners Dominate as Pakistan Fall Short in 252-Run Chase

Pakistan needed 252 runs in 33.3 overs to qualify and made a brisk start by scoring 18 runs in the first two overs. However, Henil Patel dismissed Sameer Minhas early, after which Pakistan stopped pushing for the required rate and focused only on batting time.

Huzaifa Zahoor and Usman Khan then added 65 runs for the second wicket. Kanishk Chouhan broke the stand by dismissing Zahoor for 42, once again slowing Pakistan’s scoring. Farhan Yousaf tried to increase the tempo with 38 off 39 balls, but his dismissal ended any hopes of a fightback.

India’s spinners took complete control from there and maintained constant pressure. Ayush Mhatre removed the well-set Usman Khan for 65 and also picked up the wickets of Ahmed Hussain and Momin Qamar.

Khilan Patel handled the right-handers well, dismissing Mohammad Sayyam and then cleaning up Huzaifa Ahsan by clipping the off stump to end the innings. Vihaan Malhotra removed Ali Hassan Baloch as Pakistan were bowled out for 194.

Mhatre and Khilan Patel finished with three wickets each, while RS Ambrish, Henil Patel, Kanishk Chouhan and Vihaan Malhotra took one wicket apiece.
