Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s debut match for Team India ended in disappointment as the 15-year-old batter departed only after scoring 14 runs from 10 balls. The southpaw misjudged the ball off Wil Jacks and was stumped out. Experienced keeper Jos Buttler did not make any mistake in dismantling the stumps as soon as he spotted the incoming opportunity.

As soon as the team management declared Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in the playing eleven for today’s match in Manchester, cricket fans with hearts full of expectation kept their eyes on screens as they were expecting another brutal knock by the young sensation. As soon as he was dismissed, fans across social media platforms expressed their emotions through their social posts.

A disappointing outing for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in his debut match for India

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made his debut, replacing Sanju Samson, who was not in form since the beginning of the UK tour. There was a lot of hypes around the emerging batter ahead of the match; it increased as soon as he walked out in the middle to open the innings with the other opener, Abhishek Sharma.

After winning the toss, India captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and choose to bat first. The pitch at the Old Trafford cricket ground has a lot to offer to the seamers, so the bowlers of the home team enjoy bowling on the fresh pitch with the new ball in hand. From the first over of the innings, the pacers got bounce and extra pace on it,

Sooryavanshi tried to play his natural game from the first ball he faced. He continued swinging his blade in search of boundaries. As the bowlers were prepared for the explosive batter, they tried to pitch the ball out of his reach as much as possible.

It was not his day. The batter walked off with only 14 runs to his name on display. The fourteen runs he claimed were through a couple of 6s and two singles.

Harry Brook used his bowlers nicely to get the first breakthrough in the India vs England 2nd T20I match

Credit goes to England skipper Harry Brook as well, as he introduced Will Jacks, a spinner, replacing the pace attack in a sudden move. The inclusion of the spinner tricked the batter.

Pace off, the Jack pitched the ball through flat outside off, lured the batter to take a long stride smake it. The plan worked properly for the spinner and for the England cricket team. Vaibhav went again to take on the bowler and made a costly mistake on the fifth delivery of the fifth over of the first innings. The umpire went upstairs to check before raising the finger.

Here are some of the notable reactions on 'X' to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's dismissal:
