The left-handed batter has scored 404 runs from 10 innings at an average of 40.40 and a strike rate of 237.65, including two fifties and one century.

There’s A Place In Test Cricket For Impact Players - Aaron Finch Backs Vaibhav Sooryavanshi
Aaron Finch said that modern Test cricket needs fearless players who can disrupt bowling plans. He stated that aggressive and unpredictable batters can create pressure and force bowlers to change their approach during matches.
“There’s a place in Test cricket for impact players like that. You think of Rishabh Pant and the point of difference he has, he’s one player who can put real fear into an opposition because he’s unpredictable," Finch told the Sydney Morning Herald.
Finch also stated that Sooryavanshi could be dangerous in longer formats, especially against an older ball. He pointed out that the young batter has already shown his ability against the new ball in T20 cricket.
“We’ve seen what Vaibhav can do against the new ball in T20. If he batted at five in Test cricket against a 50-over old ball, what could he do there?” he added.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Is Mature Way Beyond His Years - Aaron Finch
Aaron Finch praised Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for his maturity and confidence at a young age. Finch said that the teenager shows no fear against top bowlers and can read match situations well, which is rare for a 15-year-old player at this level.
“The thing that astounds me is his ability to strike the ball from ball one. Even against the best bowlers in the world, he walks out; he’s got no fear, but he also has the ability to sum up game situations as well. As a 15-year-old, that’s an incredible skill to have. He’s mature way beyond his years," Finch said.
I Don’t Know What You Were Doing at 15 - Aaron Finch
Finch also highlighted the level of skill Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has shown against elite bowlers. He pointed out that it is unusual for someone so young to dominate experienced international players with such confidence and control.
“I don’t know what you were doing at 15, but I certainly wasn’t contemplating thumping Kagiso Rabada and Jasprit Bumrah and Pat Cummins all around the park, it’s just an extraordinary level of skill he has," he added.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi reached two half-centuries in just 15 balls against Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, respectively. He also smashed a century, scoring 103 runs from 37 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The southpaw scored 78 off 26 balls against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
