Vaibhav Suryavanshi Instrumental in Rajasthan Royals' Emphatic Victory

Gujarat Titans posted a formidable 209/4 after being asked to bat. Skipper Shubman Gill anchored the innings with 84 off 50 balls. Jos Buttler scored an unbeaten 50 runs from 26 deliveries.

In response, Rajasthan Royals openers Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal provided a flying start by adding 87 runs in the powerplay. The young left-hander blasted his maiden IPL hundred off just 35 balls. He smashed the fastest century by an Indian, breaking Yusuf Pathan's 15-year-old record.

Vaibhav ended with 101 off 38, striking 11 sixes and seven fours. He added a 166-run partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored an unbeaten 70 off 40. RR secured an eight-wicket win in only 15.5 overs in the must-win match.

RR Must Win All Their Upcoming Matches to Keep Their Hopes Alive

Rajasthan Royals picked up their third victory of the IPL 2025 season. With just four league games remaining, the team can reach a maximum of 14 points. RR must win all their upcoming matches to keep their hopes alive. However, it may not be enough to finish in the top 4 in the points table.

Their net run rate, which improved from -0.625 to -0.349 after the emphatic win over the Gujarat Titans, will also play a crucial role. To climb up the table and stay in contention, the team must secure dominant victories to continue boosting their NRR.

Rajasthan’s remaining matches are against four formidable opponents: Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, and Punjab Kings. They will next take on the Mumbai Indians at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Thursday, May 1.
