I'll Be Fine In 3 Days - Varun Chakaravarthy Shares Update On Injury

Speaking about his injury after the match, Varun Chakaravarthy said that he is confident of a quick recovery. He reassured fans that the discomfort is only due to the impact and not a serious injury that could affect his participation.

“It's fine. It's just the impact pain. Still not able to put the foot fully down. But in another 3 days, I'll be fine. He hit it very fast, and I had to stop it. Otherwise it would've been a four,” Varun said.

The injury happened on the first ball of the 12th over when Ishan Kishan hit a full delivery straight back at the bowler. Varun stopped the ball with his left boot to save a boundary. Despite being in pain and limping during his final over, he completed his four overs before being substituted.

First Four Matches Will Be Flat Wickets - Varun Chakaravarthy

Varun Chakaravarthy stated the spinners faced challenges early in the season. He said that early pitches favor batters, making it difficult for spinners across teams.

"I've been saying this every year. Initially when IPL starts, the first four matches will be flat wickets. It's very tough for spinners to come into the game. Happened for every spinner. Everyone found it tough."

Chakaravarthy returned figures of 3/36 in four overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad, marking his fourth straight match with at least two wickets. He dismissed Travis Head for 61 off 28 balls, shifting the momentum towards KKR when the batter hit a delivery straight to deep midwicket in the ninth over.

He then removed Smaran Ravichandran for four and Aniket Verma for six, with captain Ajinkya Rahane taking both catches at cover. Kolkata Knight Riders became the first team to take over 650 wickets in T20 cricket.
