Vijay Hazare Trophy: Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, Arjun Tendulkar Among 100 Players Selected By MCA For Camp

The Mumbai Cricket Association has named Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, Arjun Tendulkar among the 100 probable players for a camp ahead of the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy. Mumbai had a dismal show in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 and they were knocked out of the tournament with just one win in five games. To make their condition worse, the coach Amit Pagnis stepped down from his position.
Senior players like Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, Surya Kumar Yadav, Adithya Tare have all been named to the squad along with youngsters like Yashashvi Jaiswal, Arjun Tendulkar, and Shivam Dube. The BCCI has decided to conduct Vijay Hazare Trophy, Vinoo Mankad Trophy, and Senior Women’s 50 over tournament while opting out for Ranji Trophy due to the difficulties associated with scheduling during the pandemic times.

Experienced Players Among the Probables Named
MCA Secretary Sanjay Naik has announced the 100 selected players for the camp to be held at MCA Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy. With the amount of experience in the group and also with some of the players who represented India, Mumbai should be looking forward to winning the Vijay Hazare trophy after a shocking exit in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Appointment Of New Coach
MCA Secretary Sanjay Naik will have to appoint a new coach for the Mumbai team ahead of the Vijay Hazare Trophy as Amit Pagnis stepped down. The camp will make sure the best players have been selected for the Mumbai squads in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and they will be hoping to do well in the tournament.

The amount of talent recognition from Mumbai has been excellent for so many years with a lot of players from Mumbai going on to play for India.
