Indian cricketer Vipraj Nigam has once again found himself in the spotlight in an ongoing legal matter. A woman against whom Vipraj Nigam had earlier filed a police complaint reportedly reached his residence in Avas Colony and waited outside for nearly two to three hours in her car.
She wanted to meet him, but Nigam was not at home, as he is currently in Japan with the India national cricket team for the Asian Games 2026. Big twist in Vipraj Nigam case as woman reaches his home
As reported by Jagran News journalist Abhishek Tripathi, that women visited Vipraj Nigam’s home and even waited for two to three hours in her car but the cricketer was not available.
According to the woman, Nigam’s father assured the women that the matter would be discussed after a week, following which she left the area. Actually, Nigam had filed a complaint against the woman at Barabanki Kotwali on November 8 last year.
The cricketer alleged that she was threatening him and warning that she would falsely implicate him in a case while contacting him through different mobile numbers.
The situation later took a dramatic turn when the woman filed a case against Nigam at the Expressway Police Station in Gautam Buddh Nagar. She accused the cricketer of physical exploitation and alleged that she first came in contact with him through the internet in May 2025.
In her complaint, a woman alleged that Nigam developed a relationship with her by promising marriage. She further alleged that on July 29, 2025, he took her to a hotel in Sector 135, Noida, where she accused him of rape and assault. The case was registered on December 16, 2025.

Vipraj Nigam gets double selection boost with India A and Asian Games 2026 call-up

Nigam was quoted as saying by TOI, “I'm currently at a two-day camp at the NCA, and only today I found out that I’ve received a call-up for the Asian Games. It feels great. I had a feeling that my name might come up for a series at some point, but I never expected the opportunity to come this quickly.”
Speaking about his India An exposure, Nigam said, “This is what we work hard and play matches for to reach this level. I’d like to thank my family and coach Sarwar Nawab, who have put in so much effort for me. Now it’s my turn to repay them.”
