"Virat bhai shouted"- Kumar Kartikeya's scintillating revelation

Kumar Kartikeya was the only Rajasthan Royals bowler to get a wicket in his team's crushing 9-wicket loss at the hands of Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday (April 13).

Chasing 174 runs, RCB were off to a flying start. Phil Salt was at his usual best, taking the RR bowlers to the cleaners while Virat Kohli played the role of the second fiddle to perfection. By the time the powerplay came to an end, RCB had raced away to 65 for no loss.

Phil Salt was the first one to depart

RR finally managed to get the first breakthrough when Kumar Kartikeya struck in his second over to dismiss Salt. In the ninth over of the RCB innings, the left-arm spinner sent back the England star to end the 92-run partnership between him and Kohli.

More than the wicket, Kumar Kartikeya grabbed the eyeballs by sharing a viral moment with Virat Kohli. Soon after Salt was dismissed, he was seen shaking hands with Kohli. The spinner revealed the details of the moment after the conclusion of the game.

In a video posted by RR, Kartikeya said that it all began when Salt hit him for a six and Kohli responded by shouting 'come on'. Kartikeya was quick to return the favour as he too said Come on after dismissing Salt. However, Kohli did not mind it and instead congratulated the spinner for the wicket.

"When he (Salt) hit a six, Virat bhai shouted 'come on' at which I looked at him and he looked at me. I didn't say anything at that time. But later, when I got Salt's wicket, I put my hands up and said 'come on' and that's when he turned and looked at me," said Kumar Kartikeya.

Meanwhile, RCB went on to thrash RR by nine wickets to return to winning ways. After Salt's departure, Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal shared an unbeaten 83-run stand for the second wicket as RCB chased down 174 runs inside 18 overs.
