Virat Kohli played a significant innings for India when it mattered the most. A splendid century as he led India with his 52nd hundred on record in ODI cricket. Kohli has revisited his prime with some staggering brand of cricket.
"For me, the core word is awareness. Being aware of situations and being aware of your own feelings and thoughts when you succeed and when you fail. So there you try to be in the most central spot."
"I have put in a considerable amount of work over the years, so I would say I am in that place now. I am still looking to get better every day of my life, that's what I am," said Virat Kohli in an official video of the BCCI.

BCCI to decide on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's future in review meeting
Doubts were raised over Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's form in the ODI format as well, and further questions were posed on the increasing age of the veterans. Many claimed that, considering that they will continue playing only one format, they are doubtful that they will retain this form up to the World Cup in 2027.
However, the two veterans have proved that after years of experience, they do not need heaps of practice to set the groove for a batting masterclass. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been unstoppable since their return.
Despite that, something that has not escaped the eyes of the BCCI is the rising tension between the renowned cricketers and the head coach, Gautam Gambhir. The BCCI is likely to address these issues through a review meeting, which would also be decisive on the fate of the two legendary cricketers.
RO-KO are still the pillars of Indian batting
Ever since Rohit and Virat have been back on the ODI side, they too have been the sole standing pillars of India's batting. While every batter struggled in the Australia tour, former captain Rohit Sharma stood guard as a firm wall.
Furthermore, in Shreyas Iyer's absence, the most in-form among Indian batters, Virat Kohli's role in the middle order gets even broader. Virat would have to pile on runs, which he has been doing flawlessly, to safeguard his team from collapses.
