One of the viral videos on the social media platform Instagram, shows the former captain of the Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma, involved in a funny banter with the RCB legend Virat Kohli.

Batting first, RCB set a massive total on the scoreboard. Riding high on the impactful knocks by Phil Salt, Virat Kohli, captain Rajat Patidar, and Tim David, the defending champions posted a total of 240 runs on the scoreboard in exchange for only 4 wickets.

Virat Kohli played a very crucial knock for the team. The batting maestro of Team India and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru registers another half-century in his T20 runs tally. Kohli scored 50 runs from 38 balls before falling short against the MI captain Hardik Pandya.

In his 38-ball knock, the opener slammed the MI blowers for five 4s and one 6. With the knock, he not only stitched a partnership of 120 runs for the opening stance with Phil Salt, but also created a solid foundation for the team, which later helped RCB to ensure a mammoth total of 240 on the board.

According to the stats, it was one of the highest totals recorded by RCB in the history of the Indian Premier League. So far, 263 is their highest ever total scored in an innings. In 2013, Bengaluru claimed 263 runs against the Pune Warriors India (now defunct).

In this season, they have secured another massive total in an innings. Against the Chennai Super Kings, the IPL 2025 winners registered 250 runs for 3 wickets in Bengaluru.

Actually, Rohit had no intention to throw the ball at the stumps as Virat was very close to his crease. On the other side, Virat also knew that Rohit would not be going to launch the ball.

However, Rohit Sharma had a tough time tonight. He had to consider retiring hurt after sustaining an injury. It is suspected to be a hamstring-related issue for which he had to leave the field.
