Virat Kohli, on Thursday (October 23), once again disappointed with the bat during the ongoing second ODI between India and Australia at the Adelaide Oval.
The former India skipper started the ongoing tour with an eight-ball duck in the first ODI. He chased a wide delivery outside the off stump from Mitchell Starc and ended up edging the ball straight to the fielder at backward point.

Virat Kohli hints at retirement
Virat Kohli has left the fans not only intrigued but worried as well after making an unexpected gesture following his dismissal in Adelaide. While walking back to the dressing room, the batting stalwart paused to acknowledge the Adelaide crowd, an uncommon sight after such a brief stay at the crease.
He was seen raising his glove as the fans gave him a standing ovation. As soon as the incident happened, social media quickly lit up with speculation, with many interpreting the gesture from Kohli as more than a routine acknowledgment. Many suggested that Kohli hinted at his retirement with his gesture.

India is on the back foot again
Talking about the match, India have made a poor start to the bat once again after Australia captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss and opted to bowl first. Captain Shubman Gill and Virat were dismissed by Xavier Bartlett in the 7th over.
At the time of writing this report, India were on 33/2 after 11 overs. Former captain Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer were batting in the middle for the Men in Blue. The onus will be on the experienced duo to guide the team to a big total. Having lost the first ODI, India need to win the ongoing match at any cost to keep the three-match series alive.
