Virat Kohli equals shameful Duck record, becomes 2nd worst Indian batsman

Amid his return to international cricket, Virat Kohli has been the worst batter for India, having scored the second most ducks for the Men in Blue in the history of cricket, with all three formats combined. Kohli reached this unwanted feat after back-to-back ducks in Australia.
India failed to dominate the Aussies in the first ODI at Perth. The veteran batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli made their much-anticipated return to the format and were dismissed for just 8 and 0 runs, respectively. However, much was anticipated from Kohli again as India returned to Adelaide for the Second ODI.
India went unchanged into the Adelaide game, as they have not considered making changes to their batting and bowling depth, with three all-rounders still in the side. What remains interesting to watch for would be the batting order decided by the Indian head coach.
Virat Kohli turns into the second-worst batter for India
Legendary Indian batter Virat Kohli has reached a new milestone on his return to international cricket. He has dominated the longer white-ball format for ages and has appeared in 552* matches for India across all three formats of the game since his debut in 2008.
Virat Kohli, who was dismissed for his first-ever duck on Australian soil in the first ODI at Perth, continued his low patch of form with another duck at Adelaide. Kohli, with this dismissal of Xavier Bartlett, now has 40 ducks throughout his career, which is the joint second-highest for any Indian player in International cricket.
He has joined his former Delhi teammate Ishant Sharma on the list, who also had 40 ducks as a no. 11 batter in 199 innings. This would be the most unwanted record for Kohli in his illustrious career.
Virat Kohli has a new record to add to his decorated ODI career
The Indian legend has met the most horrific phase of his career, as he has not only faltered at scoring runs or creating an impact in the game but has also reached several unwanted milestones after repeated flops in the series.
Having played 304 ODI games in his career, Virat has held the record of making a strong comeback once he fails to be promising in a game. As a result of this, Virat Kohli was never dismissed for back-to-back ducks in ODI cricket.
However, this is the first time Kohli has been dismissed for a duck twice in two consecutive games. Such an unwanted record of successive dismissals for ducks in Tests and T20Is came back in 2021 for Kohli.
For the first time in his 304-match ODI career, Virat Kohli falls for ducks in two consecutive matches. He was previously dismissed for successive ducks in a Test and T20I in Ahmedabad in 2021.#INDvAUS

Is the lack of gametime affecting Virat Kohli's form in Australia?
Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been away from international cricket for a long time and have already retired from the two remaining formats of international cricket. Despite their immense experience, the game of cricket is about rhythm.
Virat Kohli has probably lacked that rhythm coming into challenging Australian conditions after such a long absence from the game. Moreover, Kohli neither arrived early in Australia to get some practice sessions ahead of the Perth Test nor did he participate in any of the optional sessions ahead of the Adelaide game.
This would hence be marked as a major reason for Kohli being snubbed from form as well as runs, while Rohit looked better in the second game, after having looked determined at the nets and practice sessions.
