WPL is going to grow: Virat Kohli
On the other hand, the Indian batting maestro believes that the Women’s Premier League (WPL) will grow and play a crucial role in India’s sporting future. However, Kohli has emphasized that India cannot solely focus only on men's sports if it truly wants to become a sporting nation.
With the WPL gaining momentum, Kohli feels the T20 league is a game-changer for women's cricket, bringing more talent, opportunities, and recognition. The WPL was launched in 2023, and five teams have been competing in the tournament.
The final of the ongoing WPL 2025 will see Delhi Capitals and Mumbai India facing each other on March 15 in Mumbai. He signed off by saying, “WPL is going to grow and you cannot cater only to men's sport if you want to grow as a sporting nation.”
