Former Pakistan skipper Salman Butt has heaped high praise on the legendary Virat Kohli as he picked the Indian superstar as the most impactful batsman across all formats.

Virat Kohli is one of the very few batsmen of the modern era who have adapted to the varied challenges that the three formats pose.

The only batsman to average in excess of 50 across formats, Virat Kohli has hammered as many as 70 centuries- the third-most by any batsman in the history of the game.

Kohli is the fastest to 8000, 9000, 10000, 11000, and 12000 ODI runs and he has the second-most number of hundreds in the 50-over game, preceded by Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar.

In the Test format too, Kohli has established himself as one of the leading batsmen of the modern era, having successfully countered every condition against the best of bowlers with disdain.

He has 27 hundreds against his name to go along with 7 double-tons in 91 Test matches and his 7000+ runs have come at an average of 52.38.

“I believe Virat Kohli is the most impactful batsman in the world across all formats. There is no doubt about that. His performances speak for themselves and have turned the results in his team’s favor,” Salman Butt said during a Q/A session on his YouTube channel.

The upcoming English tour will be another opportunity for Virat to better his record in the UK. Kohli shrugged off his nightmares of the 2014 tour with imperious performances in 2018- 593 runs in ten innings with two hundreds- and the Indian skipper will hope to emulate those returns and lead his team from the front.
