Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra believes that Virat Kohli is working towards something which led to his wicket in the recent Ranji Trophy match between Delhi and Railways. According to Chopra, Kohli was trying to tackle his off-stump weakness and lost his wicket to the incoming delivery in the process.
Kohli was dismissed off a ball that seamed in after pitching and left his off stump out of the ground. In the previous delivery, Kohli had shimmied down the track to smash the Railways pacer Himanshu Sangwan down the ground.
But Sangwan came back strongly in the next delivery and pulled back the length a touch. The ball came in after pitching which left his stump uprooted. He was dismissed for just 6 off 15 balls, leaving the crowd at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in a shock.

Aakash Chopra speaks on Virat Kohli's dismissal
While speaking on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra shed light on Virat Kohli's brief knock on his Ranji Trophy return. Chopra observed that Kohli was playing the incoming balls well at the start but was getting beaten outside off stump.
"So many people had come for (Virat) Kohli. They were waiting. On the first day, people were asking (Yash) Dhull and Sanat (Sangwan) to be given out as they had come to watch only Kohli. He played incoming balls well at the start. He got beaten on two consecutive away-going deliveries," Chopra noted.
The former India opener further spoke on the dismissal. He feels that the only good thing was that Kohli didn't get out to the balls going outside off stump, which has been his constant mode of dismissal over the past few months.
"Then he came to the other end, did a slight shimmy, hit a four down the ground, and then went forward similarly to the next ball, there was a gap between the bat and the pad, and he got bowled. The only solace was that he didn't get out to an outside-off delivery," he added.
"He is working towards something" - Aakash Chopra
Aakash Chopra observed Virat Kohli's dismissal closely and felt that the veteran is working towards something to tackle his off-stump weakness. It left him lacking when the ball seamed in after pitching.
"He (Virat Kohli) was getting out caught behind and got beaten by an incoming delivery this time. Of course, he is working towards something, so something was left lacking here. However, the heart was broken, there is no doubt about that. It's the truth," Chopra said.
After Kohli's dismissal, the crowd at the Arun Jaitley Stadium didn't wait much to leave the ground. The spectators started departing as they had come to watch just Virat Kohli. The spectators gathered in thousands of numbers from early morning just to watch their favorite star play.
Virat Kohli's next international assignment
Virat Kohli will now prepare for the upcoming ODI series against England. Another senior player Rohit Sharma also returns to the side for the ODIs. Further, Kohli and Rohit will also feature in India's Champions Trophy 2025 campaign where they will be the key players.
Kohli has an excellent record in ODIs and will look to score huge runs in the tournament. While his red-ball form hasn't been great, he is expected to do well in the Champions Trophy where India will play all of its matches in Dubai.
