Virat Kohli on the cusp of breaking Sachin Tendulkar's record in Adelaide Test

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is on the cusp of breaking a major record in the upcoming second Test match against Australia in Adelaide. A century in the Adelaide Test would make him the first player to score 10 centuries in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, surpassing the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.

Currently, both Kohli and Tendulkar share the record of having the most centuries in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with nine centuries each. He has been training hard with the pink ball to leave a great impact in the Day-Night Test for India at the Adelaide Oval against Australia.

Ace India batter was seen facing Jasprit Bumrah during the nets session at the Adelaide Oval on Tuesday after facing the pacer at the Manuka Oval in Canberra during India's practice match against Prime Minister's XI. Notably, Kohli’s century came after a challenging phase in his career when he was struggling to find consistency in recent Test series, with many questioning whether he could rise to the challenge against Australia’s formidable bowling attack. However, Kohli responded with a brilliant century in Perth, signaling that he will be a major threat for the remainder of the Test series.
