Team India recently suffered a four-wicket defeat against England at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. The Harry Brook-led side leveled the series 1-1. The veteran batter scored a well-composed half-century, but the visitors were bowled out for just 233 runs. The Men in Blue must win the series decider at Lord's to clinch the series.

After the Indian squad arrived in London, the players got off the team bus and entered the team hotel. However, Kohli did not join his teammates in the lobby. He got into a waiting private car and left separately.

The batter was reportedly heading to his family home in London. He moved his home to the United Kingdom in early 2024 along with his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, and their two children, Vamika and Akaay.
