One of the best batters of all time is Virat Kohli. The right-handed hitter, 33, has been a pioneer throughout his career and has established a strong reputation in both franchise and international cricket. He has been a member of Royal Challengers Bangalore from the league’s inception and has participated in each of the league’s 15 seasons to date.
He holds the record for the most runs scored in a single season and is the leading run-scorer in league history. He scored 973 runs all throughout the 2016 campaign.

Although Virat Kohli has yet to claim an IPL championship, there is no denying that he is one of the finest players to have ever competed in the league.
Virat Kohli Discuss The Impact Of IPL On His Career
The IPL has advanced significantly under Virat’s leadership. But in a recent video that was posted by RCB’s official Twitter account, the batsman explained how important the IPL was in helping him become the player he is today.
The young man from Delhi made a name for himself in 2008 when he helped the Indian U-19 team win the World Cup. He was quickly signed by the Bengaluru-based team ahead of the first season following that. He had a terrible start to his league’s season but was supported in the effort, and over the following years, he paid back the support by scoring a lot of runs.

On the RCB podcast, Virat discussed the impact of the IPL on his career and stated:
“Like so many other people, IPL has had a big influence and impact on my life. I think outside of playing for India and having the opportunity to play for India, the IPL really gave me the platform to continue to show my capabilities and compete against the best players in the world and share knowledge with them.
I think that was the most important thing. That added a really different dimension to my understanding of the game. And really helped me move ahead in a very progressive manner, where I was picking the brains of people that I probably wouldn’t have come across before.”

Virat has shared the RCB dressing room with players like Ab de Villiers, Jacques Kallis, Daniel Vettori, Rahul Dravid, and Shane Watson during the course of his 15-year involvement with the IPL.
