Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma Not Among Popular Names In Australian Team As Players Pick Their Favorite Indian Players

The Indian Cricket Team has a star-studded squad consisting of many great individuals. Be it Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and many other superstars, they all make the Indian team great. The current Indian team is a group of fairly talented individuals who play as a unit. A few Australian players were asked about their favourite player in the current Indian Team and two of them selected Virat Kohli.

In a segment on official broadcasters Star Sports, Australian players David Warner, Glenn Maxwell, Adam Zampa, Cameron Green, and Pat Cummins were asked about their favourite player in the current Indian team. David Warner and Glenn Maxwell picked Virat Kohli as their favourite in the current Indian team while Adam Zampa chose Hardik Pandya as his favourite.

Cameron Green went with his all-rounder’s bias and picked Ravindra Jadeja as his favourite Indian player currently. Now was the turn of the Australian skipper to choose his pick and he surprised everyone by picking youngster Shubman Gill as his favourite Indian player in the current squad. Shubman Gill is having a decent World Cup campaign which does not justify his standards. He missed the first couple of matches due to dengue.

Australia Have A Chance To Face India Again In The Finals

India and Australia locked horns against each other in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 back on 8th October. India emerged victorious in a low-scoring chase. All thanks to Virat Kohli and KL Rahul for their sheer grit and determination after the first three wickets were down with just two runs on the scoreboard.

India has officially sealed the first spot in the points table by winning eight out of eight matches in the World Cup. This means that the Men In Blue will play the Semi-Final against the fourth-positioned team. Australia is currently third on the points table and they will most probably finish third or second in this World Cup which means they can’t face India in the semi-finals.

India and Australia can face each other in this World Cup if they reach the finals and it will be the second time that these two teams will clash in the finals. The first time that Australia and India faced each other in the World Cup finals was in 2003 and Australia emerged victorious in that match.
