India National Cricket Team batting legend Virat Kohli is closing in on Shubman Gill for the No.1 position in the latest ICC ODI batting rankings after his record-breaking century against West Indies.
Virat Kohli has moved to the second spot with 796 rating points, just 20 behind Gill's 816. His 139* in the first ODI helped him climb one spot, while Gill retained the top position after scoring 110.

Kohli's rise has pushed Daryl Mitchell to third with 794 points. Rohit Sharma remains fourth with 753, while Ibrahim Zadran occupies fifth with 719.
Babar Azam is sixth on 689 points, followed by Kusal Mendis at 674. Shai Hope is eighth with 664, while Joe Root and Harry Tector complete the top 10 with 660 and 653 points respectively.
With only 20 points separating Virat Kohli and Gill, the ongoing West Indies ODI series could have a major bearing on the battle for the top spot.
Keshav Maharaj becomes World No.3 ICC ODI bowler, Kuldeep Yadav rises to 5th
Keshav Maharaj has made a significant move in the latest ICC ODI Bowling Rankings after his performances against Australia. The South African left-arm spinner claimed 4/20 and 2/54 in the first two ODIs, helping him climb three places to third with 667 rating points.
Maharaj is now only eight points behind Pakistan's Abrar Ahmed, who sits second with 675. Afghanistan's Rashid Khan continues to lead the rankings with 714 points. India's Kuldeep Yadav also made a notable jump, moving four places to fifth with 623 points after his four-wicket haul against West Indies.
Mitchell Santner is fourth with 644 points, while Maheesh Theekshana occupies sixth with 622. Jofra Archer is seventh on 617, followed by Shaheen Afridi (604) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (602). Australia's Josh Hazlewood completes the top 10 after moving up five places to 591.
Sri Lanka's Dunith Wellalage also moved 12 places to 26th among ODI bowlers with 542 points. The all-rounder climbed five places to 17th in the all-rounder rankings with 172 points.
Marco Jansen jumps to No.15 in ICC ODI All-rounder Rankings
Marco Jansen has also made progress in the latest rankings after contributing with both bat and ball against Australia. The South African scored 94 runs and took three wickets across the first two ODIs, lifting him three places to 15th in the ODI all-rounder rankings with 189 points.
Afghanistan's Azmatullah Omarzai remains the top-ranked ODI all-rounder with 337 points, while Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza is second on 276. Mehidy Hasan Miraz occupies third place with 260.
New Zealand have two players inside the top five, with Michael Bracewell fourth on 250 and Mitchell Santner fifth on 247. Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi is sixth with 238, level on points with Scotland's Brandon McMullen in seventh.
Rashid Khan is eighth with 232 points, while India's Axar Patel is ninth on 206. Ireland's Curtis Campher completes the top 10 with 196 points.
The latest update also saw movement in the ICC T20I rankings following the Asian Games group-stage matches. Nepal's Kushal Bhurtel made the biggest move among T20I all-rounders, climbing seven places to 21st with 160 points.
