Fortune India has published the names of the most valuable Indian celebrities, based on their individual brand values. The list they have published contains celebrities from various sectors, including cricket. Needless to say, Virat Kohli is in the list. Actually, he is at the top of the list as the most valuable celebrity in India.
In the list of the top 10 most valuable celebrities of the nation, there are three names from Indian cricket, and the rest are from the silver screen.

The survey conducted by Fortune India was not only based on the stars’ financial assets, box-office collections, or endorsements, but also depended on their distinctiveness, coherence, engagement, trust, affinity, and responsibility.
“The study is the result of a detailed methodology that goes well beyond mere earnings or box-office pickings of the celebrities, and delves into several other factors which together determine the celebrity’s final brand value,” according to the report published on June 8.
“Financial performance apart, the methodology goes deep into the various aspects which determine brand strength—distinctiveness, coherence, engagement, trust, affinity, and responsibility. By treating personal brands as managed economic assets, the methodology offers profound insights beyond simple follower counts,” it added.
The study found that the Indian batting legend Virat Kohli is the most valuable celebrity in India with a brand value worth ₹3,542 crore, while Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is second in the list, whose brand value is worth ₹3,017 crore.
“Cricket superstar Virat Kohli’s brand value has been pegged at a staggering ₹3,542 crore in the maiden Fortune India-Interbrand Most Valuable Celebrities list as he tops the list of the 25 most valuable celebs in the country,” the report says about Virat Kohli.
Two more cricket legends are also in the list
There is another Indian cricket legend in the top half of the 10-name list. MS Dhoni is ranked fourth with an esteemed brand value of ₹2,141 crore. The legendary keeper-batter, and one of the most successful captains in Indian cricket history, who officially retired from international cricket on August 15, 2020, concluding an illustrious 16-year career, remains one of the leading faces in the nation.
He is now 44, but the amount of fan following he still has is unmatchable, even after all the years since retiring from international cricket.
Sachin Tendulkar is the third and last name in the list of 10 celebrities who represent Indian cricket. Sachin is at the 8th spot, before Alia Bhat and Diljit Allu Arjun, with an esteemed brand value of ₹1,676 crore.
