Virat Kohli vs Rohit Sharma? UAE youngster feels this batsman has a better technique

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are two top-class batters in the world right now. India is fortunate to have both legendary batters play together for the country. When it comes to the comparison Won, the fans are always fighting for their favorite cricketer to be better.

Recently, UAE's young cricketer Aryan Saxena also shared his views on his favorite cricketer among the two. Saxena reckons that Virat Kohli has a better technique than Rohit Sharma. The 18-year-old is originally from Delhi and is expectedly a fan of Virat Kohli, who also hails from Delhi.

Aryan Saxena feels Virat Kohli has a better technique than Rohit Sharma

During a conversation with Mykhel.com, Aryan Saxena spoke about his favorite batter. Aryan feels that Virat Kohli is a better batsman than Rohit Sharma because of his technique. The 18-year-old also mentioned about Kohli's supreme physique and fitness and claimed that his aggression makes him the best.

"Personally I feel Virat Kohli is a better batsman than Rohit Sharma because of the technique. But Rohit Sharma when compared to Virat Kohli, is equally good, but I would prefer Virat Kohli because of his technique, his physique and his fitness. Also, Virat Kohli's mentality towards the game and the aggression he shows are really good things to see in him," Saxena said.

Aryan Saxena was selected for the UAE Under-19 squad in 2021 after impressive performances in domestic tournaments. He was just 16 years old at that time. However, he has yet to play an international match for UAE.

The perfect end to T20I careers

Both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been stalwarts of the Indian cricket team over the years. Recently, both of them announced their retirements after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 title for India. The trophy win acted as a catalyst for Team India who had been deprived of an ICC trophy in the last 11 years.

It was a fitting end to Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's T20I careers. In the ODI World Cup last year, India lost in the final to Australia. The defeat put India in shock who were unbeaten in the tournament till the final. Virat Kohli emerged as the highest run-getter of the tournament while Rohit Sharma finished second on the list.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's next international appearance

Both have plenty of records to their names. While Kohli has scored 50 ODI hundreds, Rohit Sharma has the highest individual score of 264* to his name. Kohli has close to 9000 runs in Test cricket and is close to scoring 14000 runs in ODIs. Meanwhile, Rohit has scored more than 10000 runs in ODIs and more than 400 runs in Tests.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been rested for the Duleep Trophy 2024 keeping in mind their workload. Both are likely to be available for India's home Test series against Bangladesh, scheduled to begin on September 19.
