Virat Kohli's fans abuse wrong 'Himanshu Sangwan' on social media after latter's aggressive celebration

Virat Kohli was dismissed for just 6 off 15 balls on his return to the Ranji Trophy after more than a decade. While playing for his domestic side Delhi, Kohli was clean bowled by Railways fast bowler Himanshu Sangwan who had his off stump uprooted.

After picking up the wicket, Sangwan was pumped up and celebrated aggressively. Before picking up the wicket, Kohli had slapped the bowler for a four down the ground but the bowler came back strongly.

Sangwan's reactions didn't please Kohli's fans and they slammed him with abuse on social media. However, things went wrong when a no. of users named 'Himanshu Sangwan' had to suffer the abuses without having anything to do with it.

Virat Kohli's fans abuse every user named 'Himanshu Sangwan'

Instagram and every other social media website didn't verify the name and hurled some unnecessary abuses at the user named 'Himanshu Sangwan'. Here are some of those comments:

Most of the users named 'Himanshu Sangwan' had absolutely nothing to do with all of this but couldn't help the fact that their name matches with the Railways seamer.

Huge fan following

Virat Kohli is easily the most followed cricketer on the planet right now. The 36-year-old veteran has a die-hard fan following not just in India, but at every corner of the world.

It was evident in the ongoing Ranji Trophy match between Delhi and Railways where people gathered iin huge numbers just to see their favorite cricketer bat.

While some students bunked their classes, some of them even took leave from offices to be present at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Unfortunately, Kohli couldn't make a significant impact in this innings and was dismissed cheaply.

Virat Kohli's first Ranji Trophy appearance in years

This match was Kohli's first in more than 12 years in Ranji Trophy. The 36-year-old veteran came in this match on the back of some poor form in Test cricket.

He decided to play Ranji Trophy after the BCCI made it compulsory for every centrally contracted player to play domestic cricket. While Kohli has failed to score big in the first innings, he has a chance to redeem himself in the second innings.
