In the 16th IPL 2026 match at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, fans got the full entertainment show as Vaibhav Sooryavanshi played another dreamy knock to help Rajasthan Royals dominate a high-pressure chase against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 10.

This knock helped Vaibhav clinch the Orange Cap, surpassing his own RR teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal in the race for being the leading run scorer in the ongoing IPL 2026. The Bihar lad has so far scored 200 runs in four matches, with two half-centuries and a stunning strike rate of over 260.

Riyan Parag shares how RR is supporting Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

After the match, RR captain Riyan Parag also showered rich praise on his young opener. Parag said at the post-match presentation: “I think everyone loves him. Everyone loves having him around. He likes eating stuff. He likes going out and stuff like that.”

He added, “So we make sure we make that available for him. And he's a 16-year-old kid, a 15-year-old, whatever it is. Yeah, doing kiddish things. And he's happy with that. He likes a lot of batting. So, we make sure it is presented to him. And if he keeps on batting like that, I think whatever he wants.”
